Practice guide
Before you explore a sound-based practice
Sound-based sessions may use voice, singing bowls, gongs, or other instruments for relaxation, attention, or reflection. Experiences and methods vary.
Questions worth asking
Ask what will happen during the session and whether intense volume, vibration, touch, breathwork, or group participation is involved.
- Can the volume and intensity be adjusted?
- Can I stop or step out at any time?
- Is touch involved, and how is consent handled?
- What accessibility or sensory accommodations are available?
Complementary does not mean medical
A sound-based practice is not a substitute for diagnosis, emergency care, medication, psychotherapy, or advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Seek appropriate clinical support for health concerns.
